We have reserved a standard room and the Coronado Springs resort in September. Can you tell me which section is best? We want a room that has been upgraded and near a bus stop.

    Hi Donna,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My family turns to the Coronado Springs Resort often for our weekend getaways to Walt Disney World. We've been there four times this year so far! One of the things we like about the resort is the ease of transportation. Almost every building is close to a bus stop, and though there are four stops circling the resort, it doesn't feel unwieldy.

We most often choose the Cabanas section of the resort, specifically Building 8A. It's right across from Bus Stop 4. (Buildings 8B and 7B are also convenient). Usually, the bus picks up at this stop, then makes a pickup near the main lobby before exiting for the parks and Disney Springs. We find the resort to be centrally located and especially convenient to Animal Kingdom. Those buildings also are convenient to El Centro (the lobby, dining and gift shop).

One note: Coronado Springs is undergoing a major expansion project, and most of the construction is on the Cabanas side of the resort. It hasn't created any issues for us, but you will find that part a little more chaotic.

My other recommendation would be the Casitas section. Three of the five buildings there contain preferred rooms, but Building 4 with standard rooms is adjacent to Bus Stop 2 and a short walk away from El Centro. Bus Stop 2 is usually the first stop for pick-up and drop off. That's especially nice at the end of a long day in the parks.

The Ranchos section is closest to the Dig Site pool complex and has a bus stop, too, but I find it the least convenient to El Centro.

I hope that helps, Donna. Please remember that the resorts do their best to honor location requests but they are not guaranteed. Enjoy!
