    I reserved Simba's Clubhouse for my son who is turning 8 on our trip. What special things do they do or have for birthday kids at Simba's? Thank you- I love the Moms Panel! You are all so helpful!

    Wow, I'm sure your son is going to love being at Walt Disney World on his birthday. So cool!

    As for his reservation at Simba's Cubhouse, he's going to have a blast! The cast members at all of the Walt Disney World children's activity centers are absolutely amazing. I've seen children (literally) kicking and screaming as their parents have tried to escort them out when it was time to leave. That's clearly a testament to an incredible experience.

    Since your son will be celebrating his birthday during your vacation, I would recommend that you make a note on his reservation at Simba's Cubhouse. While I don't know of any formal protocols the cast members are required to follow, I know that they do find fun ways to celebrate when they're hosting a child who's celebrating a birthday. (For example, they might get a special cupcake with the dinner they serve.) 

    I have no doubt that the cast members who will host your son that evening will do an amazing job of helping him celebrate his special day!

    Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

    You can pick up a "Happy Birthday" button at any of the guest services locations around the property at Walt Disney World. I would encourage your son to wear that button because you never know what little surprises may be in store for him. Beyond that, it's just so neat to see how cast members and other random guests will greet people who wear a birthday button. It'll make him feel really special!
