I just reserved s room for 8 days at the Animal kingdom lodge. Do I need to buy tickets to get in the Animal kingdom park

Hello, Ellen, and welcome to planDisney!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is truly a resort like no other. It’s where the wonder of an African safari meets the magic of Disney! Imagine waking up to giraffes, zebras, and gazelles grazing just outside your balcony. With stunning, immersive architecture, incredible African-inspired dining, and warm, welcoming accommodations, it’s a vibrant and unforgettable escape for the whole family.

You will need park tickets to enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. But trust me, it’s an experience you absolutely won’t want to miss! It was the very first Walt Disney World park my family visited, and it remains a must-do every time we return. While the lodge is just around the corner from the park, you’ll still need to hop on a Disney bus or grab a ride share unless you have a car.

PlanDisney fun fact: Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the largest theme park in the world, covering more than 500 acres! That space gives the animals plenty of room to roam and makes attractions like Kilimanjaro Safaris feel incredibly authentic. For the best views, I recommend heading there right at park opening, when the animals tend to be most active.

Wishing you a wild and magical adventure!
