I have reserved a room for 3 adults and 1 kid, 2 beds isn’t enough… do they offer a cot or a rollaway bed?

    Hi Deidre,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for popping by to bring us your question.

Deidre, planning on good sleep is a solid move for your upcoming visit. It never ceases to amaze me when I peek at the step count at the end of a magical theme park day. And having to navigate sleeping arrangements on top of that Disney-level exhausted is not the move. So, let’s dive in and talk about your options before you arrive, so you can get that Sleepy-approved REM sleep that you’ll need during your stay!

At Walt Disney World Resort hotels, rollaway beds or cots are not something you can count on. Most rooms do not offer them, and Disney is pretty strict about not exceeding the room’s stated occupancy. There are a couple of nuances, though. Some Deluxe Resort hotels may have very limited rollaway beds available, but they are not guaranteed and are first-come, first-served. Value Resorts and most Moderate Resorts generally do not offer rollaway beds at all, mostly because the rooms simply don’t have the space.

Disney does offer complimentary Pack ’n Plays, but those are really meant for little ones, not as an extra bed for older kids or adults.

Your best move is to look into room types that are designed for more sleeping space. Think rooms with a fifth sleeper, family suites, or even a room with a pull-down bed or sleeper sofa. Disney has some really great setups that feel like a lifesaver for exactly this situation. Another option some families consider is requesting connecting rooms, which gives everyone their own space and beds without feeling cramped. Because the goal is everyone resting well so you can wake up ready for another full day of magic, not negotiations over blankets.

I’d recommend reaching out to the reservations help line to check what options your current resort offers, and if you’re not sure if that will work, ask the cast member directly what is available for your dates and needs. They will be more than happy to answer all your questions, point you in the right direction, and even re-book you if needed!

I hope this information was helpful as you continue to dream up and plan your upcoming visit to the most magical place on earth. And if you have any additional questions or want some pixie-dusted planning tips, you know where to find us!

    See ya real soon,
