Ahoy Dan!
A toast to you for having a
Disney Wish sailing on the horizon! Captain Mickey has been dropping all kinds of previews about this newest ship that will be joining the Disney fleet in 2022. Frankly, it’s all incredibly exciting!
So much depends on what you mean by a drinks package. If you are asking about beer or wine, then yes, Disney Cruise Line does offer packages for these either in advance of sailing via
Onboard Gifts or once onboard. Personally, I like to wait until I'm onboard so I have a better sense of what I’m wanting to have.
Depending on the length of your sailing, which ship, and whether you choose the classic or premium package, the wine packages range from roughly $100-$300 for multi-bottle packages. Meanwhile, beer packages currently are priced starting at $ 33.75, and a variety of beer brands are available. Pricing for both beer and wine packages is always subject to change. This should be consistent across the fleet and include the Disney Wish when she sets sail.
Sadly, there’s not a beverage package for alcoholic drinks like cocktails and spirits. These beverages are a la carte and can be added to your stateroom account using your Key to the World card. Pricing for cocktails or wine at bars, nightclubs and lounges typically range between $7 and $15. Again, prices are subject to change and may vary, so check with your bartender before you order.
We do have some planDisney tips to stretch your Disney dollars for your beverages:
-Go with the Drink of the Day! There’s a new one featured daily and it's served at a discount. The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will give you information on each day's drink and where you can find them onboard.
-
Register for a Beverage Tasting. These seminars are informative and interactive as the bartender teaches Guests about the making of and origins of some popular spirits and liquor. Plus, you get to make new friends with fellow cruisers and have a lot of fun in the process! My favorite seminar by far is Mixology, but there’s a wide variety available. Just book them as soon as possible when your Advance Booking Window opens because they are popular and will sell out.
-You can also bring
limited quantities of beer and wine onboard. Each adult 21 years of age or older can carry on two bottles of unopened wine or champagne (750 ml or smaller) OR six beers (12 ounces or less) on Embarkation Day and at each port. Here’s the main rule you need to follow on this: you MUST keep any wine or beer with you in your carry-on luggage and NOT in your checked luggage when you get to the port.
Dan, WISHing you the most amazing experience at sea on the newest ship in the seven seas. Cheers!
