We reserved Hollywood Studios for May 14 while waiting for our 15 year old to get her ticket from varsity cheer. By the time we got her ticket from varsity Hollywood Studios was booked. We don’t really want to leave her behind. Any help?

Hello, Chelsie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

My daughter is also a cheerleader and we will be heading down to Walt Disney World at the same time for the competition. It's going to be a really fun weekend and I'm so looking forward to it. So, I think I have some good news for you. I just received word the other day that Varsity has been working with Disney to open up some spots for people coming for the competition that weren't able to secure park pass reservations. Here's what you need to do. Download the MyDisneyExperience app on your smartphone device. Then, make sure all of the tickets are linked properly to your account. Next, open up the chat feature and type in the word "VARSITY". Keep in mind that the chat moderators do not work 24/7 so there may be some delay on getting back to you but don't worry, you wlll be notified when there is someone available to talk to you. Once there is a Cast Member to help you, they will be able to see what is available for Varsity customers only. There is a separate availability calendar that you will not be able to view directly, only the Cast Member helping you will be able to see.  They will then make the park pass reservation for you, if available, and link it to your MyDisneyExperience account where you should be able to see it immediately. If your first choice of a park is not available, keep in mind you can hop over there after 2:00 p.m. with the park hopper feature on your tickets. The Cast Member helping is not a Varsity representative and will do their best to help you but please be patient with them as they try to figure all of this out right along side of you. If you have any other questions or need more information about your tickets, you should reach out to Varsity directly.

I think there is a really good chance that your daughter will be able to join you at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks during your trip, I have my fingers crossed for you all! If you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm here to help!

    Good Luck!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
