I have reserved for my granddaughter to go to Disneyland without me. Question one - how can I make sure she can get in if I’m not with her. Question two - can I purchase a lightening lane pass prior to her going to the park?

Hi Valerie! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to send your questions our way.

I don't think there's a more thoughtful gift than the gift of a magical day at The Happiest Place on Earth! The Disneyland Resort Rules state that she can enter Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park without you, as long as she is 14 years of age or older. She will need the Theme Park Ticket you purchased for her. It will be easiest for her to scan to enter if she has a screenshot of the barcode.

If you haven't already added Disney Genie+ Service to her Theme Park Ticket, she won't be able to purchase it until she has entered a theme park. Once she has scanned for entry, she can open the Disneyland Mobile App and purchase it, pending availability. If you want to pay for it, you could give her a Disney Gift Card. While the price for Disney Genie+ Service varies, you could give her a gift card that would cover the potential cost as well as a snack.

Valerie, I'm wishing you all that's merry and bright this holiday season! I hope you will visit us again at planDisney when you're ready for some magic! We would be happy to help!

    Happy Holidays!
    Smiles,
    Lisa
