There is nothing like a wonderful day at
Disney Castaway Cay. I am always one of the first off of the ship in the morning and the last to board at the end of the day. I want to enjoy every minute possible of this island paradise! Please make sure each guest in your travel party has a
photo ID and their Key to the World Card as they exit the ship.
The Grand Family Cabana (#21) on Disney Castaway Cay is incredible. It is stocked with soft drinks, towels, fresh fruit, and this cabana is huge! Unfortunately, the maximum number of guests is 16. Perhaps you can keep an eye out to see if Cabana #20 (which is next door) becomes available and you can have a block party! I suggest
calling Disney Cruise Line to see what they suggest and meanwhile keep watching for that extra cabana to become available. Once onboard, you might want to check with Guest Services to see if they can put you on the waitlist for an additional cabana.
While on Castaway Cay, enjoy some of the island activities. For anyone who is a walker or a runner, there is a Castaway Cay 5k. Start/Finish is near the bike rental. There is no official start time, so hit the route whenever you wish. The route is sunny, so early participation is suggested! Since you have a cabana rented, bike rental is included. Take a spin around the island. Stop at the Observation Tower for a bird's eye view of the island. For those looking for relaxation, hop onto a float or tube and just enjoy the beautiful ocean water (my preferred way to spend the day!)
