Welcome to planDisney, Carley. Thank you for dropping by with this question about your upcoming stay at
Walt Disney World Resort. Scrooge McDuck would appreciate your thoughtful planning.
You can easily use and change different forms of payment throughout your visit.
When you reserve your
Disney Resorts Collection room, a credit card is used for the deposit. At check-in, you will be asked for a credit card for purchases during your vacation. This can be the same card you used before or a new one. You will set a PIN to verify purchases made with your MagicBand,
MagicBand+ or Key to the World card while at the parks or resorts. You also have the option when making purchases to pay with cash, a credit card or a
Disney Gift Card. My kids have Disney Gift Cards they use for souvenirs, which helps me with a budget on the trip as they are self-managing and telling themselves "yes" or "no."
Any purchases charged to your room and your remaining resort stay will be on your hotel folio. You can check your hotel bill on the
My Disney Experience App anytime during your vacation. On the Home Screen, select ≡ in the bottom right-hand corner. Under the Resort Hotel icon, there is so much information, including "View Charges."
The night before you check out, your folio balance will be charged to the credit card on file. You can stop by Guest Services at your resort anytime during your stay and use cash, Disney gift cards, or another credit card to cover part or all of your folio balance. You would want to do this on your last full day at Walt Disney World Resort.
Please come back to
planDisney with any other questions as you prepare for your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I hope your trip to Walt Disney World has you saying "Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!"
Happy planning!
