Welcome to planDisney, Gracy! I'm so glad that I can answer your question about your upcoming summer vacation. It sounds like you have some great plans in place, but sometimes things can happen and we can't follow through on them so let's chat about what happens if you're unable to pay the balance on your vacation package by the due date.
Gracy, payment of the full balance of your vacation package is due 30 days before your planned check-in date.
It is not possible to extend this due date, so it's a good idea to think about it and make sure that you want to go through with your booking before that date arrives. If you are unable to pay the full balance and it goes past due, it is possible that your vacation package will be canceled, and you will forfeit your $200 deposit. You can cancel your vacation any time before that due date and receive your deposit back, which is why it's so important that you don't let that balance go past due if you're ultimately going to end up canceling anyway. According to the
terms and conditions of vacation package reservations, cancelations made 2 to 29 days before check-in incur a cancellation fee of $200, so if you let your payment lapse past due and your reservation was automatically canceled, it would fall in this time frame. The amount of the deposit and cancellation fee is subject to change, so be sure to double-check your booking documentation for the most up-to-date information.
If you have any additional questions about making payments on your vacation package, please feel free to
contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and a friendly Disney Cast Member will make sure you have all the information you need to make the best decision going forward.
Have a magical day, Gracy!
