Hey Caroline! Welcome to planDisney!
Your magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort is fast approaching. I'm so glad you're here - a bit of practically perfect planning will ensure that you have a smooth visit, and adding a
Dining Plan is such a great idea. Paying for your meals in advance makes your vacation feel more all-inclusive.
Adding a Dining Plan to an existing vacation package is pretty easy. I'd suggest logging into your
My Disney Experience account from a web browser, select My Plans and Tickets, then scroll down to the first day of your plans. Select Change Reservation, then scroll down to Dining Plan and click the Add button.
Caroline, I want to point out that you can only add a Dining Plan to a vacation package. A vacation package includes your Disney hotel and theme park tickets booked together. If you have hotel-only reservations you won't be able to add a plan. However, altering your existing reservations can be done! Simply use the steps mentioned above to upgrade your reservation to a package or call and speak with a cast member for help. Check out the Special Offers page to ensure that you're taking advantage of any deals that might apply to your stay.
If you'll be purchasing the
Disney Dining Plan, you'll want to think about which
table service restaurants you'd like to experience and start booking your advance dining reservations. These can be booked as early as 60 days prior to your arrival date and are highly recommended if table service dining is in your plans. Also, if you're traveling with any little Mouseketeers from ages 3-9,
their dining plan will be free in 2026!
I hope this information is helpful, Caroline. If you need any additional help with planning, please come on back. We'll see ya real soon!
Your pal,
Sakinah
