I reserved for the dinner package at mama's melrose and Fantasmic. I'm not really convinced that my kids (7 & 10) will appreciate this place. I would prefer the sci-fi dine inn but don't want to miss the show and don't want to wait 2 hrs, thoughts?

    Hi Krystel!

Personally, I think you have made a great selection.  If you are going during a busy time at Walt Disney World, then the wait for Fantasmic! can be very long, and we have always been glad we used the dinner package option with reserved seating.  It's very convenient and allows you to keep exploring the park, rather than wait in line for the show.

As for the restaurant options, Mama Melrose has delicious food that kids and adults both really enjoy.  The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is cool to see, but that is about it (in my opinion).  The food there was just OK, and the videos they play on the movie screen are not very entertaining and loop so often you see the same thing multiple times.  Additionally, most of the seating is in booths that look like cars.  Again, this is cool at first, but then you realize it's extremely hard to have a conversation with your family because you aren't looking at each other.  (there are two in front and two in back)

Obviously, this is just my opinion, but if I were planning your trip I would keep what you already have!

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
