We reserved for a cruise from Miami to the Bahamas and we’re wondering what documentation we need. I read that we can bring an ID AND a state-issued birth certificate, but my partner does not have a US birth certificate and her passport is expired

    Welcome to planDisney Daymarie!

I cannot stress enough how important it is to have the proper documentation for your Disney Cruise. A guest will be denied boarding if the required identification is not presented at the port. Please read through the required documents for your sailing. If you have questions regarding your partner's specific documents and what will be accepted, give a call to Disney Cruise Line agent who can review the requirements with you.

The good thing is that it looks like your sailing is still several months away, so hopefully this will give you time to collect needed documents. There may even be time to get the passport renewed which would be the ideal situation.

I hope you are able to work out the details of the travel documents so you will be able to sail with Captains Mickey and Minnie on a beautiful Disney Cruise ship as planned! Good luck, and please stop back if you have any additional questions.

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
