Hi, there!
Cynthia, I'm so excited to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort next week. I'm sure you're counting down the days until your arrival!
Exploring the theme parks requires a
lot of walking, so
renting a wheelchair or an
Electronic Conveyance Vehicle is a great idea if you have some mobility concerns. Wheelchairs and ECV's are available to rent from all four theme parks and Disney Springs. They cannot be reserved ahead of time. Rather, they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's recommended that you arrive early. To rent a wheelchair or ECV, simply approach a rental location and a friendly Cast Member will gladly assist you!
If you would prefer to reserve a wheelchair ahead of time, I recommend renting one from ScooterBug, Disney's Featured Rental Provider. ScooterBug will deliver a wheelchair directly to your Disney Resort hotel! One of the biggest benefits of renting a wheelchair from ScooterBug rather than from the Walt Disney World Resort is that you'll have it with you for the entirety of your stay. Wheelchairs rented from the theme parks or Disney Springs must be returned before leaving, but a rented wheelchair from ScooterBug can stay with you as you travel to and from the theme parks and your Disney Resort hotel!
Be sure to review the
Know Before You Go section of the Walt Disney World Resort website before your arrival next week. It has lots of important information about the health and safety measures that are being taken in and out of the theme parks!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Cynthia. I'm wishing you a Disney vacation that is practically perfect in every way!
Ashley
