Welcome to planDisney, Jayne!
It's a joy and a privilege to help a fellow parent plan their next Disney adventure. My little Mouseketeer is still at that stage when he needs a crib. So whenever we travel on vacation, I always have to either bring a Pack 'n Play or check with the hotel to make sure they have a crib for him to sleep in. We always bring his favorite plush toy and blanket so that he feels right at home.
I have good news for you, Jayne. Guests can request a complimentary crib at any Disneyland Resort hotel. There are three ways you can do this: 1) When you make your initial reservation, 2) by calling
Hotel Reservations, or 3) upon your arrival at Disneyland Hotel. Although quantities are limited, I doubt you'll have any trouble getting one. You'll either get a standard-sized Pack 'n Play or a larger crib (subject to availability).
Worst care scenario, you could even rent a full-size crib from an outside company. for example, the Traveling Baby Company can drop off a crib at the hotel for you the day you arrive and will even set it up inside your room.
Are you planning on bringing a stroller, Jayne? (Or should I say, pram?). If you don't want to lug your own stroller all the way from the UK, you can always
rent a Mickey and Minnie-themed single or double stroller at the Disneyland Resort. You can rent them on a day-to-day basis, or rent them for the entirety of your stay.
Here's my final tip: take advantage of the
Baby Care Centers around the theme parks. In Disneyland Park, you'll find one at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and in Disney California Adventure you'll find one on Pacific Wharf. As a dad of two young Mouseketeers, I've appreciated these places to change diapers (or nappies), change clothes, or simply give my little one a break from all the stimulation.
I hope you have a magical trip, Jayne. Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
