Bright suns, Sue! A warm intergalactic planDisney welcome to you. We're so glad you traveled through many galaxies from far, far away to share this question with us. It sounds like you're planning to make the journey to Batuu during your magical adventure and I'm thrilled to help you prepare.
A visit to the
Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu is always on my list during my visits to the Disneyland Resort - even if it's just a quick stop for a quick refreshing drink. Visiting the planet of Batuu is included in your Disneyland Resort theme park ticket and no additional reservation (aside from your overall theme park reservation) is needed to specifically visit this land.
There are a couple of experiences "on planet" that require reservations. If you plan on stopping into
Oga's Cantina to refuel and enjoy some out-of-this-world beats from DJ R-3X, it's best to make a dining reservation. I took a quick peek at availability on the day of your visit and could only find availability for a party of two. If this is something on your must-do list, you can always join the
mobile dine walk-up list on the day of your visit. I recommend arriving early in the day when using this option for the best chances of getting in quickly.
The
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Nighttime Gathering is a new dining package that also requires a dining reservation. This is a
package for which you will receive a wonderfully provisioned bento meal to enjoy before taking in the
Fire of the Rising Moons in a reserved viewing area. This is such a unique perspective of the nighttime fireworks display. The soundtrack is completely different to immerse you in the surroundings of Batuu. I absolutely loved this new point of view. Friendly warning that the fireworks are a bit louder in this area. I checked for reservations on the day of your visit and saw that there is availability for a party of 7 (subject to change). Be sure to carefully review the cancellation policy as it's a little different than most dining reservations.
To make dining reservations for either of these experiences, visit the Disneyland site and click on "Make Reservations" found under "Dining" under the heading "Things to Do." You'll select your party size, the date of your visit and what time you'd like to reserve. I usually recommend selecting "All Day" to see all of your options. You'll scroll for the appropriate location and follow the prompts to make your reservation. You can also make reservations directly from the dedicated pages for each of these experiences.
If that wasn't enough, while the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are being celebrated "off planet," you can enjoy all of the festivities of celebrating Life Day on the planet of Batuu. There are several
fun-themed food offerings scattered throughout the outpost to delight your taste buds.
Sue, I hope this has been helpful and gives you a starting point when planning your journey through the cosmos. Please come back to visit us with any other questions that you might be curious about. Here's wishing you and your traveling party a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth and a stellar time on the planet of Batuu.
'Til the spires and may the Force be with you!
