Hi Sharon!
Looks like we have something in common- we love the attractions at
Walt Disney World and want to experience as many as possible. I love conquering the whole
Magic Kingdom mountain range!
Disney's Genie+ is on the way, so soon you will be able to grab ride times. Quite possibly this new system will be available by the time of your trip. FastPass+ did not return after Walt Disney World reopened in the summer of 2020, and Disney is implementing a new program that will allow you to skip more stand-by lines than ever.
Genie+ is a ticket add-on available for $15.00. This system allows you to pick the next available time for a Lightning Lane entrance, one attraction at a time. The Lightning Lane allows you to bypass the stand-by queue as the FastPass+ line did. For example, you select 9:30 am to board Space Mountain. After zipping and dipping on this dark coaster, you may pick a return time for another attraction. You will not need to reserve times weeks in advance as we did with FastPass+. The program's start date has not yet been released, but you will be able to add Genie+ to previously purchased tickets.
Highly popular attractions, such as the Magic Kingdom's
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, will be unavailable with Genie+. These sought after experiences may be accessed through the traditional queue or with a separately purchased Lightning Lane pass. Disney has not yet announced pricing or which selections will require a separate Lightning Lane pass.
Wishing you many flights, fast curves, drops, boat journeys, and spins!
