Hi Briana. Welcome to planDisney and thanks for taking the time to stop by with your questions for us.
I see you’ve heard the great news! After being closed for more than a year due to the pandemic, Disney Management recently announced that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will
officially reopen on April 30, 2021! It’s been way too long since we were able to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. or wave hello to Mickey and his pals.
Right now, the sale of new theme park tickets is temporarily paused until further notice. When ticket sales resume, you’ll soon “
Return to the Land of Magic”! As you might expect, because of the pandemic’s effect on park operations, Disneyland Resort theme parks will reopen with new changes in place for the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. Although not a lot of information has been released by Disney Management yet, we do know park attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system. To enter a park, Guests will need
both a valid park admission
and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day.
With April 30, 2021 “just around the river bend” (as Pocahontas would say!), I bet we will hear more detailed information soon regarding reopening guidelines. While Disneyland Resort does not have a notification system, however, I recommend tuning in to
Disneyland.com and
Disney Parks Blog for the latest park news, Briana. You can also follow
Disney’s social media accounts, including
Twitter and
Instagram so you don’t miss a beat.
Once we hear more details about reopening, please come back and visit us again on planDisney if you have more questions! We’re all EARS.
Sending you Pixie Dusts,
Kiki
