Hello there, April. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. I see that your vacation to the
Most Magical Place on Earth is right around the corner. I bet you are getting so excited!
April, you won't be able to reserve a stroller to use during your vacation ahead of time through Walt Disney World. If you are wanting to rent one of the strollers that they offer, you'll have to wait until your first day at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks to do so.
Stoller rentals are on a first-come, first-serve basis each day but I wouldn't let that stress you out too much. In all of my trips to Walt Disney World, I've never seen the stroller rental area wiped out.
Single Strollers rent for $15.00 per day and a double stroller rents for $31.00 per day. If you know ahead of time that you'll be renting one each day you are at the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks, on your first day you can prepay for a multi-day rental. This saves a little bit of money and time each day. If you prepay for the length of stay it brings the price down to $13.00 per day for a single stroller and $27.00 per day for a double stroller. You'll receive a receipt to hold on to and each day all you'll need to do is show that to the Cast Member handing out the strollers and then you'll be on your way. It's really convenient to do a length of stay, I highly recommend it!
I really like the strollers that are for rent at Walt Disney World. They are made out of hard plastic which makes them really easy to wipe out in case of spills. There's a sunshade to keep the hot Florida sun off the faces of little ones and a small storage area for all those souvenirs you pick up throughout the day. They are really nice but they do all look the same. I suggest bringing something from home to help you identify your stroller more easily. I always like to bright a brightly colored bandana but a ribbon or balloon works the same.
Because the strollers for rent at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks have to stay there if you need one at the resort hotel that you happen to be staying at you'll either need to bring yours from home or rent one for your vacation from an outside company. A quick Google search will turn up a list of companies that deliver and pick up strollers for vacations. I've used a service like that before for a Walt Disney World vacation and have been very happy with it. It will just depend if you can get away with only using a stroller while at the theme parks or if you are going to need one around the resort as well.
I hope this helps, April. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help. Have fun!
