How do you reserve a spot in the reserved seating area for the parade? Not the dining reserved seating, but rather the benches in the roundabout in front of the castle. Thank you

    Hiya Denisse!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending your Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR!

Oh boy! It sounds like you're a big fan of evenings at Disneyland Resort! I'm so excited that the streets and sky at Disneyland Resort are once again aglow with these various shows. While I'm sad that we only have a few more weeks to enjoy the limited-time return - and 50th Anniversary! - of the Main Street Electrical Parade, that only means that the Halloween time fun and then the winter Holiday season will be hEAR soon! Be sure to catch A Christmas Fantasy Parade from mid-November through the first week of January, featuring the iconic wooden toy soldier band and Santa's derpy reindeer!

The benches set up around the Partners Statue of Mickey and Walt holding hands and lovingly admiring their original theme park, located in the roundabout in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle are reserved for Guests of VIP Tours, media events, Club 33 Members, and maybe a handful of other scenarios. They are sadly not the seating locations included in reserved viewing Dining Packages. (I also did not know this the first time I booked a dining package as was greatly disappointed.)

There are, however, some benches and other sitting spots that will be happy to have you. Check around the flagpole near the entryway of Main Street U.S.A. There are also a few benches along the upper parts of Main Street U.S.A., near the Plaza Point shop as well as between Refreshment Corner and Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. Lastly, there are concrete retaining walls with built-in benches near the Queen of Hearts restroom between the Castle and the Alice in Wonderland attraction. Do know that these seating areas are all first-come, first-served, and are very popular, with some Guests staking their claim to them about two hours before showtime. Also, note that the metal benches closer to the Castle are the ones pulled over to make up the rows of seats in the roundabout, so your best bet is to pick a bench furthest away so it doesn't get absorbed into the VIP section.

I'm so sorry that this wasn't the answer you were looking for, Denisse, but hopefully it provided some help in planning some upcoming Disney days! Thank you again so much for your question. Be sure to keep up with the official planDisney panel Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
