Hi, How do you reserve a spot on the grass at Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks? I have seen the reserved sign before but don't know how to reserve a spot. Thanks!!! Dawn

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Dawn ~

The grassy area in the plaza near the Tomorrowland Terrace is reserved during the fireworks for the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. I love the Fireworks Dessert Parties! You get a fantastic view of Cinderella Castle without having to seek out a good spot hours before the show and you get to enjoy some amazing desserts.

I did the Fireworks Dessert Party with the Terrace View a few weeks ago and spent time talking with a Cast Member about the differences between the two viewing locations (Plaza v. Terrace). He walked me through both locations and explained the differences to me. Guests who book the Terrace View are seated in a private area at the front of the Tomorrowland Terrace. There are reserved tables so that everyone in your party has a place to sit together. You're welcome to move chairs around to get a good view of the fireworks.

Guests who book the Plaza View are seated in a separate area near the back of the Tomorrowland Terrace. There are tables and chairs but they are not reserved. You can sit anywhere and may end up sitting with other Guests. The desserts and beverages are exactly the same for both parties. They accept more reservations for Plaza Viewing than Terrace Viewing. About 10 - 15 minutes prior to the fireworks, Guests with Plaza Viewing are escorted to the reserved garden area near the Tomorrowland Terrace behind the hub. This area is all standing with no seating.

Guests can make reservations for a fireworks dessert party through the link I've provided or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
