If we reserve a specific park but want to hop to another later in the day, do we also have to reserve that park?

Thanks for hopping on over to planDisney, Diane! It looks like you're planning a visit for later this year! Fall is a perfect time to visit! In fact, based upon your arrival date, I think you'll be able to enjoy the holiday decorations and events during that special time of the year!

Guests are permitted to "hop" between the Disney Parks as long as they have a Park Hopper ticket! Once you have your Park Hopper ticket, you will need to make a reservation for only the first park that you wish to visit. You'll make that reservation using the Disney Park Pass Reservation System. There is no need to make a reservation for the park that you plan to hop to later in the day!

Under the current park hopping rules, Guests holding a Park Hopper ticket are permitted to hop to the second park beginning at 2:00PM. You are then allowed to remain in that park until regular park closing time. Park hopping allows for more flexibility in your Disney Day! I also enjoy hopping because it provides more dining options in a day! Park hopping is particularly nice with "tweens" and teens. When my children were younger, park hopping was a little more difficult because the day could get to be exhausting for the little ones.

Diane, with nine months to go until your vacation arrival, you have plenty of time to keep sending great questions to planDisney! We hope to see ya real soon!
