How can I reserve seats for the fireworks at Disneyland?

    Hi Grace!

With your visit to the Disneyland Resort just a few days away, you must be starting to feel the excitement. This is normally when I start humming my favorite Disney tunes as I put the finishing touches on our planning. Of course, a visit to Disneyland is not complete without experiencing one of the many nighttime spectaculars. Let's dive into your question and see what we can find out for you.

I was just in the parks last week with some of my planDisney pals, and we were able to catch Wondrous Journeys fireworks from the middle of Main Street. While I have seen this nighttime spectacular before, this may be my new favorite spot, as you can enjoy all the projections along Main Street and take it all in! Before we dive into your viewing options, first things first, I checked the Entertainment Schedule to confirm that Wondrous Journeys is currently scheduled to perform with fireworks on your park day—hooray!

When it comes to options for reserved seating, there are a few to consider, pending availability. The first is the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace: Evening Dining Package. This is a really unique option, but I do like to point out that the view is from the terrace itself in Tomorrowland, so while you will hear the music and see the fireworks, you will not have a view of the projections on the castle. What I do love about this option, though, is that you will choose a specific time to dine, but then can come and go as you please from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, so it's your own little oasis in the parks. The dinner includes a sandwich, salad, cheese and crackers, and a seasonal dessert along with unlimited soft drinks, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and bottled water. There is a kid-friendly option as well.

One option if you're looking for an incredibly special experience is to book a Disneyland Resort VIP Tour, which includes fireworks viewing, typically right in front of the castle. This is truly a way to personalize the magic with your very own private, customizable tour. With your VIP tour concierge in tow, you will enjoy priority access to attractions, next-level Disney hospitality, and premium benefits. If this is something of interest to you, I would recommend giving them a call as soon as possible with your visit this week to ensure availability for the tour and the fireworks viewing.

As the seasons change, so do the offerings in and around the parks. With Halloween and the Holidays ahead, there may be special dining and dessert packages that pop up that include reserved viewing for nighttime spectaculars. Currently, there are dining packages for Fantasmic! and a special dessert party for World of Color Happiness! available.

Grace, I sure hope this was helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, we are always here to help here at planDisney

    Wishing you an unforgettable visit!
