Hello, Lisa, and welcome to
planDisney.
I absolutely love staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. I've stayed in both the cabins and in an RV numerous times and it is always so much fun. I think you are really going to enjoy it too.
To reserve a campsite, you can actually head over to
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort direct webpage which I've linked for you. Once there, on the right-hand side of the screen, you'll see the option to "Check Availability" and you'll want to select that. Then you'll choose what type of campsite you are looking for. Options include a premium campsite, preferred campsite and a full hook-up site. After that, a pop-up window will appear where you'll enter your travel dates and how many people are in your party. If there is availability, you'll see this reflected on the next page and will have the option to book your stay.
If you decide to stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, I suggest looking into
renting a golf cart as well. The campground is pretty big and it is a really convenient way to get around. You can rent a golf cart directly through Disney by calling (407) 824-2742.
There are so many fun things to see and do while staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. If you like horses, I think you'd really enjoy a stop at the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch which are the newly built stables at the campground. The facilities are beautiful but what makes this really special are the animals inside. There, you can find Cinderella's ponies and the magnificent horses that trot up and down Main Street U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park. Visiting the stables is completely free and the Cast Members that work there are so knowledgeable and friendly. It's truly something I look forward to each time I am there.
I hope you are able to secure a campsite for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, Lisa. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun and happy camping!
Jackie H.
