How can I reserve a room at Disney world 2024,and do I have to pay to do so. Ideally would like to book now as it’s an expensive family holiday so give me chance to pay. If I can’t reserve I would be worried about missing out on a room

Hiya Adrian and welcome to planDisney!

Look at you trying to get the jump on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We love a proactive planner around these parts. Between booking a room, getting the Theme Park Tickets you need, and securing Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System, it's smart to move early. And I totally understand the concerns about budgeting especially bringing the family from so far away. While it's still too early to book your visit for 2024 let's talk about when the best time is for you to make your move.

A lot of people that I talk to about planning their vacations don't realize that you can actually call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to book a room-only reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel 499 days in advance. You can then add tickets to create a vacation package at a later date. While you still have a ways to go until that 499-day window opens, you can spend that time researching exactly which resort will best suit your family.

Pro-tip: Now if you wait until the vacation packages are released, you can pay a deposit and make payments until your paid in full. Just know that you must have paid the entirety of your total 30 days before your arrival date.

Adrian, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
