Hey there, hi there, ho there, Caitlyn! Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're always welcome as can be.
When the
Disney Park Pass System was first announced last summer, I was interested to see how it would work for changing itineraries and last-minute trips. With few exceptions during the busiest times of the year, we have found the new system accommodating to evolving plans. The
Availability Calendar is a wonderful tool that we view frequently to see how theme park capacity patterns look for weeks at a time.
If you secure theme park reservations as soon as you
purchase tickets, you can modify them right up through the use day. If there is same-day availability, you can reserve that as well. Keep in mind that you must cancel existing Disney Park Pass reservations before making new ones, so be sure to check the Availability Calendar to make sure your preferred theme park is available before canceling.
The
return of park hopping has made the planning process much easier for me. My family enjoys knowing where we'll start our day, but also loves the spontaneity of letting our afternoon play out and deciding at the last minute where to finish out the fun. If your theme park tickets include the park hopper option, you can visit a different theme park than you have reserved for the day anytime after 2:00 PM, pending availability. Check the
My Disney Experience mobile app or call (407)-560-5000 to see which theme parks are available for hopping.
I hope this is helpful, Caitlyn, and that you have a fantastic vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth. As you count down the days until the magic begins,
check out planDisney on social media and follow the
Disney Parks Blog for exciting news and updates. Thanks again for stopping by, and we'll see ya real soon!
