Ahoy, India!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you're
gearing up for a Disney Cruise Line adventure, and I’m so glad you sailed by with your question. Let’s park this ship and dive into all things parking!
At this time, parking at Port Canaveral and Port Everglades does not require reservations or allow for prepayment through the official port-operated garages. It’s all first come, first park, and payment is made onsite when you arrive (or upon departure for Port Everglades). The process is simple and smooth—the porters will direct you through the gates, you will make your payment (or collect your ticket), and head over to a parking spot that’s just a few steps from the magic.
If you’re sailing from Port Canaveral, you’ll park in the garage right next to
Terminal 8 or Terminal 10 (depending on your sailing)—no shuttle buses required, and you can practically hear the ship’s horn as you walk to the terminal. Parking is currently $17 per day, and that includes both your embarkation and debarkation days. For a 3-night cruise, for example, you can expect to pay around $68 plus tax, and for a 7-night voyage, it’s usually $136 plus tax. Prices are always subject to change, so I recommend checking the official Port Canaveral website closer to your sailing date.
If you're departing from Port Everglades, the parking process is very similar. However, you will make your payment after disembarking on the final morning of your sailing. There are payment kiosks near the elevators (ground floor) and you will insert the parking ticket you collected prior to parking so you will want to have it handy. The current rate is $20 per day.
A few bonus tips before you head to the port:
• Arrive a little early if you want a more relaxed experience.
• If you're
dropping off luggage, you’ll be directed to the drop-off zone before heading over to parking.
• Disney Cruise Line does not validate parking, so make sure that’s factored into your overall cruise budget.
I hope this helps you cruise into embarkation day feeling like a true Disney pro. And hey—once you're onboard, your car will be the last thing on your mind. You’ll be too busy catching fireworks at sea, watching Broadway-style shows, and maybe even getting a wave from Captain Mickey himself.
Sea ya real soon with a June full of sun, sea, and shipshape adventures,
Dustin
