Hi Lindsay,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for taking the time to send us your question. My family and I love Park Hopping, it gives us so many more options and the flexibility to experience all that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer.
In order to enter a Theme Park, guests are now required to have both a valid
Theme Park Ticket as well as a
Theme Park Reservation. You are able to book your Theme Park Reservation using the Disney Park Pass System through
My Disney Experience. With the Park Hopper Option, guests are still required to have a Theme Park Reservation for the first Theme Park you wish to enter, and you must enter that Theme Park first, prior to Park Hopping. After 2:00 when Park Hopping becomes available, simply open the
My Disney Experience Mobile App and look up Theme Parks and All Hours. You will be able to check which Theme Parks are available that day for Park Hopping, if a Theme Park is at capacity, it won't be listed under Park Hopper Hours. Currently no reservations are required for the second Theme Park that guests choose to "hop" over to.
When Park Hopping, my family and I love to spend the day at
Epcot and enjoy a late lunch at
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria before "hopping" over to spend the evening at
Magic Kingdom Park. Via Napoli has authentic Italian pizzas, and the Chicken Parmigiana is my absolute favorite, I highly recommend booking an
Advanced Dining Reservation prior to park hopping. No matter where you are, if you plan on booking an Advanced Dining Reservation, I suggest booking at your first Theme Park, before heading to the second Theme Park, on the off chance that the second Theme Park reaches capacity.
I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Lindsay. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
