Is there any way I can reserve for Magic Kingdom on December 25,2022 if there’s no availability? Is there a waiting list?

    Season's greetings, Constance!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet. I am so glad you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort for the holidays, as there is no better time to visit than during the most wonderful time of the year! With so many festive offerings, magic awaits you around every corner.

Unfortunately, there is no way at this time to join a waitlist for theme park reservations on days that are already full. However, people's plans often change, and reservations often open up, so I recommend you regularly check the Walt Disney World Resort website. You truly never know when reservations might pop up! I always do the same thing with dining reservations, especially in the weeks leading up to my trip.

If you cannot get a theme park reservation, though, do not fret! First, you could always get theme park tickets with the Park Hopper Option, which might let you into Magic Kingdom Park after 2:00 P.M. EST. However, park admission is only guaranteed for the park you made a reservation for, so it is possible that Magic Kingdom Park may not be available for Park Hopper that day. However, you can instead spend the day at EPCOT and enjoy all that the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays has to offer. I always enjoy trying different foods, but those with a sweet tooth in your family can also participate in the Holiday Cookie Stroll. Another one of my favourites is Olaf's Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt, where you purchase your map and stickers and have to find the Olaf statues throughout the park. I truly had so much fun doing the Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit scavenger hunt on my trip in October, so these activities are definitely not exclusive to little ones. End your day watching the Candlelight Processional, and you've got the perfect Christmas day!

I hope this was helpful, Constance, and that you will have the most magical Christmas day ever on your next Disney trip! I only touched on a few of the Holiday offerings at the Walt Disney World Resort, so keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and check out this festive episode of the planDisney podcast. If you have any other questions, though, don't hesitate to reach back out! As a big fan of the Holidays, I always love talking about Disney's festive activities.

Have a happy, merry, holly, jolly day,
