Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Renita. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you'll be traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort next month! And with a
little one in tow! You're sure to
Fall into Magic.
A stroller is a must-have for my family's Disney vacations. Exploring the theme parks requires a
lot of walking and little legs tire quickly! If you plan to
rent a stroller from the theme parks or Disney Springs, you cannot reserve one ahead of time. Those stroller rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you'd prefer to rent a stroller before your arrival, I recommend renting from ScooterBug, Disney's Featured Rental Provider. This Orlando-based rental company will deliver a stroller directly to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Talk about convenience! To me, the biggest benefit of renting a stroller from ScooterBug is that you have it on hand throughout the entirety of your stay. Strollers rented from the theme parks need to be returned to the rental location before exiting. My little one is always much too tired to walk from the exit of the park to the available transportation options, so I'm always glad she can rest in her stroller on our way back to our Disney Resort hotel.
My top tip for anyone pushing a stroller at the Walt Disney World Resort is to take something along with you to mark your stroller. It can be difficult to spot your stroller among a sea of others in the designated stroller parking areas, but if you make it stand out, you'll be able to find it faster! I always tie a Mickey Mouse ribbon around the handlebar of my daughter's stroller, but I've seen Guests use nameplates, balloons, and even battery-operated twinkle lights!
I hope this was helpful, Renita. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
Ashley
