Hi Cory and thank you for sailing back to planDisney with your question!
My kids can't get enough of the
Oceaneer's Club and the
Oceaneer's Lab when we sail with the Disney Cruise Line and I'm excited for your family to experience it too. These areas are designed specifically for Guests ages 3-12. With the current programming in these spaces, reservations are required and the children will travel through the specific areas inside the Club and Lab as a small group to allow for enhanced cleaning and distancing protocols. On a recent sailing, these small groups led to some big fun for my children, and they especially enjoyed interacting with a Green Army Man from Toy Story, as he dropped in on a mission to find and train new recruits.
Reservations for the youth clubs can be made after you have completed your
online check-in for your cruise, starting at midnight EST, 30 days prior to embarkation. During the check-in process, you will register your children for the youth clubs. After you have checked in, you may then use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or the Disney Cruise Line
website to choose and reserve one session per child, per day. If your children would like more time in the
Oceaneer's Club or
Oceaneer's Lab, simply ask the crew members at the entrance to see if there are any more available reservations for the day. My children were able to squeeze in an extra dose of the magic on several days of our sailing.
I'd also keep an eye out on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for a Youth Activities Open House. During an Open House, Guests of all ages (that includes us parents) get a chance to take a peek at and play in the uniquely themed areas inside. I especially loved MARVEL's Avengers Academy on the
Disney Wonder. Just know that you may walk away a little bit jealous!
I hope that your upcoming cruise is a hit with the young and young-at-heart in your sailing crew. The magic is truly for everyone! If you have any more questions as you prepare for your upcoming voyage, I'd be happy to answer them.
Have a magical day,
Adrianna
