    Ida from NJ Asked

If i have to reserve to go to park each day, how do i use the park hopper?

Hello and welcome, Ida! I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question about park hopping. Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day.

Ida, I was so happy when park hopping returned to us at the start of this year. I really missed being able to bounce between parks during the day when the Walt Disney World Theme Parks first opened back up after their closure last year. Park hopping, however, does look a little bit different than it did before.

Here is how park hopping is currently working:

    • Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
    • Guests wishing to park hop must make park pass reservation for an initial theme park to visit each day
    • Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day. This sort of "activates" the park hopper feature each day
    • Guests wishing to park hop do not need to make additional park pass reservations each day to park hop - just that initial one each day
    • Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening.
So as you can see, there are a few new rules around park hopping but it is still easy and fun. To make park hopping a little more convenient for Guests at this time, complimentary bus park-to-park transportation is being provided. The bus between Walt Disney World Theme Parks starts running right around 2:00 p.m. each day.

For me, there is nothing better than spending a day park hopping. I love heading to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks early in the morning. You normally can find me at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park first thing in the morning enjoying some of my most favorite attractions. Then, around lunchtime, when the parks tend to be their busiest, I like to head back to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I am currently staying at for some fun in the sun by the pool. Then around dinnertime, I love heading back to Epcot to enjoy snacks and drinks around the World Showcase for dinner. It's such a fun way to spend the day!

I hope this helps clear up any confusion you might have had about park hopping. If you have any other questions, please stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Happy hopping and have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
