Hi Ebony,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for sending us your question. Since Disney announced the official
reopening date for Disneyland Resort as April 30, 2021, I have been waiting patiently for additional details in order to plan my visit!
It looks like you are in luck, Ebony. Since you are a California Resident, you will be eligible to visit Disneyland Resort when it reopens. Currently due to state guidelines, Disneyland Resort will be open for California Residents only. No additional details regarding the purchase of Theme Park Tickets or Resort Hotel bookings have been announced, but I am sure these details will be announced as the reopening date approaches. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as well as the official
Disneyland Resort Website, as this is where the new information will be released first.
It was announced that guests will need to have both valid admission as well as a Theme Park Reservation in order to enter into a Theme Park. These reservations will need to be made in advance, so once you have your admission, don't forget to make your Theme Park Reservations! While there is no further information regarding the new system, I would imagine it will be similar to the Disney Park Pass system currently being used at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
I hope my answer was useful, Ebony. Once more details are released, please feel free to come back to
planDisney with any other questions you may have, we are always happy to help.
