Hi Sharon!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I’d love to be “part of your world” with an upcoming sailing with Disney Cruise Line. Like Ariel, “what would I give to spend a day warm on the sand” of
Castaway Cay! Disney’s private island is SHORE to keep you and your crew busy, whether exploring the island or camping out on a lounge chair on the beach.
Let me just say that I fully endorse the decision to get a Castaway Cay cabana! In fact, I think it’s the number one best way to chill out on Castaway Cay. Between the private, shady space to veg out and the hammock which is THE perfect spot for napping, Guests have it made in the shade! Beyond the cabana itself, other included perks are snorkeling gear rental as well as tubes and floats. Sebastian would call that “devoting full time to floating!”
Here's how you reserve a cabana: once your cruise is paid in full and your
advance booking window opens, go to "My Reservations" and then to "My Cruise Activities" for booking. Priority for reserving cabanas is a tiered system, open first to Concierge guests, followed in stages for
Castaway Club levels Platinum, Gold, and Silver, and then first time cruisers. But my fingers are totally crossed that you get one for your sailing!
Cabanas are extremely popular, but let me assure you that if a cabana is not available when your advance booking window opens, don’t assume you are just a “poor unfortunate soul.” Keep checking back online as some guests may change their plans. Once onboard, you can also stop by the
Port Adventures Desk to add yourself to a waitlist; a Cast Member will notify you if a cabana becomes available during your sailing.
You don’t need a dinglehopper, just a computer to send more questions to planDisney as you navigate your cruise planning waters. Have fun in the sun on Castaway Cay!
Bon voyage!
Sherry
