When can I reserve a cabana on Castaway Cay? What is included in a Cabana? Thanks!

    Ahoy, Connie!

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question about my favorite place in the world - Disney Cruise Line's private island, Castaway Cay!

Castaway Cay's private cabanas are amazing, and are some of the most coveted reservations to secure. These private getaways are the ultimate in luxury, and there are a limited number located along the Family Beach and Serenity Bay. The cabanas feature beach chairs and a hammock, and a small refrigerator stocked with water and soft drinks. Guests are provided with a variety of sunscreen products to use if needed. Cabana attendants are available to answer questions or to help with needs throughout the day.

Cabanas can be booked through the Planning Center on DCL's official website. Concierge guests and Platinum Castaway Club members are able to book Port Adventures up to 120 days in advance, and are usually the first to reserve these awesome getaways. I encourage you to set a reminder for the day you're able to book Port Adventures for your cruise, and check to see if any are available. If you're unable to book one, keep checking back - reservations can be cancelled up to three days before your sail date, and you might get lucky! Also, you can stop by the Port Adventures Desk once onboard and ask about availability or if there have been any cancellations.

If you're not able to reserve a cabana, there's no need to worry. Beach chairs and large umbrellas are provided free of charge for guests, and are plentiful. There are lots of great areas around the island where you can lounge, play, and enjoy your day.

Each day, you'll receive a Personal Navigator - a detailed schedule of all the fun things happening on the ship. Make sure to check out your Navigator on Castaway Cay day - there are all kinds of activities for all ages to enjoy!

Here's hoping the pixie dust falls your way, and you're able to reserve a cabana! My fingers are crossed for you! - Diane W.
