I'm glad you sent us your question about one of my favorite restaurants at Disneyland Resort! My kids love waving to all of the Guests sailing on Pirates of the Caribbean while we enjoy our delicious meal at Blue Bayou Restaurant.
Reservations can be made on the
Blue Bayou Restaurant page up to 60 days in advance of your visit. It is a very popular restaurant, and reservations often book up as soon as they are released. I just checked the website, and I don't see any current openings. However, Guests often cancel or change their plans, so just keep checking the website as often as possible. If you don't have any luck, you could try joining a walk-up list on the Disneyland app right when they open (usually 11:00 AM Pacific Time). Just make sure you are close to the restaurant before trying to join the list.
When I have reservations at Blue Bayou Restaurant, I like to arrive at least 20 minutes early to request a waterside table. Although requests aren't guaranteed, it never hurts to ask! I'm also willing to wait longer for an available table because it's more fun for my family to sit next to the water!
You could also consider making a backup reservation at
Cafe Orleans. It is nearby in New Orleans Square and has fantastic food! I usually book their
Fantasmic! Dining Package so my family can enjoy our meal before heading to the prime viewing area for my favorite nighttime spectacular.
