We have reservations this year at Caribbean Beach Resort. Does that resort have elevators for rooms on the upper levels? My husband will be using a motorized scooter. Thanks Janice

Welcome to planDisney, Janice! Thanks for stopping by!

I’m sure you’re excited for your upcoming 2026 Walt Disney World vacation. There is so much to look forward to in 2026! Beloved rides are reopening, festivals, new attractions and shows, and all sorts of special events. It’s going to be a magical year for sure.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort does not have elevators in any of its buildings, but that shouldn’t be an issue for you and your husband. You can make a request for a ground-floor room by speaking with a helpful Cast Member on the Tickets & Hotel Reservations line (you can find the phone number here). You can also add a request to your reservation through the My Disney Experience mobile app, either ahead of time or when doing online check-in, but speaking with a Cast Member is the best way to ensure you get an accessible room.

You are going to love Caribbean Beach Resort. Not only is it a beautiful hotel and home to one of the best pools at Walt Disney World, but its proximity to the Disney Skyliner makes it so easy to get to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. And, in my humble opinion, I think it has some of the best food of any of the moderate Walt Disney World Resort hotels (I highly recommend the Arroz Mamposteao at Centertown Market).

I hope this information is helpful, Janice. Come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
