    hello, we have reservations for the yacht club and contemporary resort in November, but now I see there are discounts for that period. Can we still take advantage of that?

    Hi Anne! Welcome to planDisney! I’m glad that you brought that great question to our friendly group of Disney experts!

    I love it when the Walt Disney World Resort offers special discounts for theme park admission and/or resort vacations! In fact, I check the website quite frequently to stay up-to-date on the most recent offers! You’re right! There are quite a few discounts currently available for upcoming stays at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Guests with existing reservations can check if a newly announced special offer can be applied to their existing reservation! When you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort website, hover (don’t click) your mouse over the heading that states, “Places to Stay.” A dropdown box will appear. Click the heading that states, “View Special Offers.” All of the special deals will appear on your screen. Locate, and click, on the special offer that you would like to check. When the offer appears on the screen, click on the box that states, “Have an Existing Reservation? See if you can apply this special offer to your reservation.” Then follow the prompts to see if you can apply the offer to your reservation!

    Anne, my wife and I find that we are able to apply new offers to our existing reservations quite often! We have used that strategy (successfully) to save some money on many visits over the years! If for some reason you can’t apply the offer to your existing reservation, you could consider canceling your existing reservation and rebooking using the new offer. My wife and I have done that as well. However, before doing so, please check with a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort to ensure that your preferred travel dates and resort hotel are still available. You can call (407)-939-1936 or use the "chat" feature on the Walt Disney World Resort website to speak with a helpful Cast Member.
