Hey Candis!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm always up for helping a fellow Guest plan their visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, and it sounds like we are both fans of World of Color! I mean, who wouldn't be with the sweeping music and classic Disney storytelling through dancing water, lights, and magic? I truly cannot wait to see the new World of Color Happiness! in honor of the 70th Anniversary, premiering this Friday, May 16th!
Happy to report that Guests with standard theme park tickets are welcome to enjoy the 9:00 PM showing of
World of Color Happiness! before the park closes to host Grad Nite. This includes having access to the
World of Color Dessert Party that evening. I just took a quick peek and can see that reservations are currently not available for the dessert party on the 30th, but don't lose faith, trust, and pixie dust quite yet. I'd recommend continuing to check for possible openings. Guests are always changing their plans, and, while not a guarantee, something may open up, especially as there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. The week of your visit, I would set a reminder for yourself to check a few times a day, especially in the 48 hours leading up to your park day. I'll send a wish upon a star that you'll be enjoying World of Color with your sweet treats in just a few weeks!
As part of the
70th Anniversary, Guests will have a chance to vote on their favorite
Inside Out emotion - Envy, Sadness, Anger, or Disgust - to get a special spotlight during the performance of World of Color Happiness! that evening. Voting is easily done in the Disneyland app. It's recommended that you turn on push notifications and location services to be alerted when it's time to log that vote!
While California Adventure will close to standard theme park ticket holders at 9:00 PM, directly after the World of Color performance, if you have a Park Hopper ticket, you can pop back over to Disneyland to enjoy the rest of your evening until midnight. Looking at the
Park Hours and Entertainment Schedule, I can see that you could even catch some of the later performances of nighttime spectaculars
Fantasmic! or the
Paint the Night Parade, which is making a limited-time appearance in honor of Disneyland's 70th Anniversary!
Candis, I hope this has been helpful as you wrap up your vacation planning! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
