Hi Heather! Welcome to planDisney!
It is almost time to start hopping around the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort! Yay! I love the flexibility that the
Park Hopper Option ticket offers. It is wonderful to enjoy the beginning of the day gazing upon Cinderella Castle, then end the evening by snacking around the world in
EPCOT. It sounds practically perfect in every way!
Let's jump right into your questions! First, you only need to make a
Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park you will visit each day with your Park Hopper Option ticket. You must visit that theme park first before hopping over to another theme park. No need to make any other reservations for the theme parks after that! You are free to begin making your way to the next theme park once park hopping hours begin (currently at 2:00 PM each day).
The only time you can't park hop is if that park is currently at maximum capacity, but I haven't experienced that at all since the return of park hopping earlier this year! This includes returning to a park you have already visited. As long as that theme park isn't at maximum capacity, you are welcome to return to the same theme park.
The easiest way to check if a theme park is welcoming new Guests is via the
My Disney Experience mobile app. On the app, scroll down until you see the Park Hours and touch "All Hours." This will bring up the current day's park hours and as long as the park hopper hours show on that screen, you are good to go!
I hope this helps, Heather! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
