    Now that we have to make reservations how does that work with getting military discounted tickets?

    Hello Roxanne, and welcome to planDisney!  How exciting that you're planning a trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth" later this Summer!  

    First off, I want to thank you and your family Roxanne for your service to our country!  I recommend exploring the special offers & discounts for eligible US Military Members for both theme park tickets and select rooms at Disneyland Resort Hotels.  You would still purchase your theme park tickets through a participating military base, and then when you have your tickets secured, you will want to make your theme park reservations as soon as you can.  You will need both a valid ticket and theme park reservation for each day you to plan to visit.  If you're still unsure on the exact dates you'd like to visit, the theme park reservation availability calendar is a great resource to check for available dates.  

    I highly recommend attending the wonderful Flag Retreat ceremony that takes place at Disneyland Park.  It will take place in Town Square which is just after the gates past the Disneyland Railroad station, and before you walk down Main Street, U.S.A.  You can check the daily events schedule under "Atmosphere Entertainment" to see when the Flag Retreat ceremony will take place.  It's such a lovely tribute where guests and Cast Members honor our country and those who have served.
