We have reservations at the WL in July and this our very first trip to DW. It will be me and my husband and my son (17) and daughter (12). I am kind of at a loss as to how to plan our days and nites. It all seems quite overwhelming. Please HELP! Thanx

    Hi Melissa!

First of all, let me say that I think you picked an awesome resort!  The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite place to stay at Walt Disney World.  Be sure to make an Advanced Dining Reservation for the Whispering Canyon Cafe there.  It's a lot of fun (and be sure to ask for ketchup when you are there).

With regards to planning a first time visit, several Walt Disney World Mom Panelists answered a question about planning a first trip and you can read their advice here.

I also suggest ordering the free Walt Disney World planning DVD.  You can watch it with your children to see what looks most interesting to them.  I also recommend that first time visitors pick up a good tour book on  Walt Disney World.  My favorite for first time visitors is  "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book that has won many awards.  It's also a very beautiful tour book full of color photographs.  Another good book with lots of pictures is the "Color Companion to Walt Disney World" by Bob Sehlinger and Len Testa.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
