    We have reservations for WL 11/22 to 11/30. When the free dining promotion came out, I called to have this applied to our vacation package. I had to go with the bunk bed room instead of the 2 queens. DS 17 is 5 feet 10 in. will this work for him? thanks

    Hi, Christine!

    If you are like me, you are picturing two regular size twin sized bed for the bunks, but unfortunately, the bunk beds are built more for young kids.

    Your darling son who is nearing 6 feet tall probably will not be very comfortable in the bunk beds.  If you do a web search, you can see that the bunk beds are more for young kids, probably age 10 and under would be my best guess.   I saw one review that said the beds were most appropriate for guests under 5'4" which I  think is about right.

    So, you what to do? You can call (407)W-DISNEY to speak to a friendly Disney Reservationist to see if you can get a more appropriate room with adult beds.  If there is simply no availability, inquire about other resorts in your price range to see what your options are.

    I am sorry to deliver the news about the size of the beds, but I would hate for your son to have to sleep with his feet hanging off the edge of the bed!  While it would be good for a laugh at first, I'm sure he would prefer the comfort of a wonderful queen size bed.  Good luck!
