I have reservations for the Wine Country Trattoria Paint the Night Pkg and the Sonoma Terrace Paint the Night Reception. Can you tell me how the dinner pkg works, whether the reception would be fun for a 9yo, and which (pkg or reception) has the best view?

    Hi, Clara!

Thanks for sending us your Disneyland Resort question. I'm so happy to hear you plan to see the popular, high-energy Paint the Night parade, which will be appearing at Disney California Adventure Park for the first time ever starting this spring!

Both of the Paint the Night Dining Packages you’re considering offer the convenience of reserved viewing for the parade along with a unique dining experience. With the Wine Country Trattoria option, you’ll enjoy a full-service 3-course lunch or dinner of California- and Mediterranean-inspired dishes from a prix fixe menu. At the end of the meal, your server will give each of you a voucher to enter a Paint the Night reserved viewing area later that evening. The vouchers list the location of your viewing area and the parade time. Please be aware that viewing areas for this package are standing only.

The Sonoma Terrace Paint the Night Reception will be offered in a recently-expanded portion of Golden Vine Winery, featuring a premier view right along the parade route. This package includes a one-hour pre-parade reception with a charcuterie tray and desserts plus wine, beer, soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages. You’ll be able to view the parade from the comfort of a chair with this package, and each Guest will leave with a box of assorted truffles to enjoy later. It’s a unique experience that I think your son would enjoy, along with the added benefit of having a chair to sit in if his legs get tired--something I know my own kids would appreciate!

I hope this helps you make your decision, Clara, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted Disneyland Resort visit soon! Please write back with more questions as you continue planning.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
