I have reservations for The Wilderness Lodge Villa's in November. I have 2 children, age 10 and 12, have heard that the resort has treasure hunts and other kids programs. Could you tell me more about this?

    Hi Lora,

There is an 11-year-old boy living at my house who just LOVES the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge!  I bet your kids will enjoy it too.

My guess is that the treasure hunt you mention may actually be the Hidden Mickey Hunt that is available at the Lodge.  Go to the Guest Services Desk in the main lodge building and ask for the list of hidden Mickeys at the resort.  You, as a family, can then spend your time throughout your vacation trying to find these hidden treasures.  There are many kids' and family activities scheduled every day.  Quite a few of these are held at the Silver Creek Springs Pool.  They have so many fun activities to choose from, but my favorite is the rubber duck races.  You will get a full schedule of the week's activities in the folder you'll receive when you check in to the resort.

You may also want to consider renting bicycles at the resort to ride over to Fort Wilderness or you could reserve personal watercraft to go explore Bay Lake.

Make sure your kids listen for the crickets you can hear on property at night and look out for the interesting animal footprints found in the sidewalks throughout the resort.  There is magic around every turn at this amazing Disney resort!

Wishing you an November vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
