We have reservations for wdw this year, 12/29-1/5. My kids are 5,8,11 and we are staying at the contemporary. is the Christmas experience at Disney worth the crowds or should we go another time?

    Hi Jenel:

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Walt Disney World Resort during the Holiday season is my absolute favourite time to visit.  The decorations and festive spirit are absolutely magical.  Personally, I think you should keep your reservation, as long as you are comfortable with crowds.  We visit every year at this time, and I can't imagine a better way to celebrate than at Walt Disney World Resort.  The days up to New Years Eve will be extremely busy, however, with FastPass+ and Extra Magic Hours, you will be able to experience your must do attractions every day, just be prepared to be patient and tour at a slower pace.  I have found that the days following New Years tend to be much less crowded, especially as the week goes on.

I would sit down with your family and see how everyone feels, and if anyone will be uncomfortable with the crowds.  My husband does not deal well with crowds, but he even agrees that the crowds are worth it for the experience of Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope you figure out what works best for your family Jenel.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.
