Hi Ken,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
Using My Disney Experience mobile app to make reservations is super convenient because you can see everything in one place. Whether you’re looking for dining, Disney Park Pass, or hotel reservations, you are able to track everything within the My Disney Experience mobile app. Let’s talk about making reservations.
If you’re trying to make a Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, I suggest you do this through your My Disney Experience account on the
Walt Disney World Resort website. First sign in to My Disney Experience and from there take a look at the availability for Disney Resorts Collection hotels for your specific dates and number of guests. On the Walt Disney World Resort website, you also have the option to create a package which includes both your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and
Theme Park Tickets. I suggest playing around with packages to see which is the best option.
Once you have your Disney Resorts Collection and Theme Park ticket reservations, they will show up in your My Disney Experience mobile app. From there, you can start on your
Disney Park Pass reservations. Currently, the Walt Disney World Resort is requiring both valid Theme Park Admission coupled with a Disney Park Pass reservation for entry into Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. To do this, from the home screen in the My Disney Experience mobile app, select the “+” symbol in the bar at the bottom (two buttons to the right of the “home” button). Next, select “Make a Park Reservation” then select “Theme Park Tickets” this will take you to the Theme Park Reservation page where you can select your Disney Park Pass reservations. Want to see which Theme Parks have available reservations in advance of your trip? Check out the
Theme Park Reservation calendar!
Finally, let’s talk about
dining reservations, these can be done in the My Disney Experience mobile app as well! Similar to the steps above, from the home screen in the My Disney Experience mobile app, select the “+” symbol in the bar at the bottom. At the top of the list, select “Check Dining Availability”. From there you will be able to enter your party size, the day you’re hoping to secure, and the time. Once that information is entered, you can see all the dining opportunities available. Keep in mind that to secure a dining reservation, you must add a payment method for a cancellation fee. Don’t worry, this will all be detailed in your confirmation email once you book your dining experience.
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your upcoming trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort in May. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out with any other
planning or reservation questions, I am always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
