    We have reservations at Tusker House for 8:15am. Staying at the Contemporary. What time should we leave the resort to be there in time for resv and how early should we arrive? Also, how long is travel typically from Boma back to MK? Thank You.

    Hi Rachael,

    If you are using complimentary Disney transportation to get around, my general rule of thumb is to leave one hour from your point of origin to your destination.  The bus from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Animal Kingdom typically only takes 20-25 minutes.  However, when you arrive at the bus stop at your resort, you might need to wait a few minutes for the next bus to arrive.  Additionally, when you disembark the bus at Disney's Animal Kingdom, it will take at least 10 minutes to present your theme park tickets at the turnstiles and walk to Tusker House in the African village of Harambe.  Arriving 10-15 minutes early for your reservation is always a good idea. So give yourself an hour to make this journey.  Be at your bus stop no later than 7:15 am. 

    Similarly, the bus from Boma at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Magic Kingdom will likely take 20-25 minutes.  Just leave yourself some extra time in case you need to wait for the bus to arrive.
