Hi! I have reservations at Tusker House in AK for 8:10am. AK opens @ 8 that am, which leaves us little time to get thru ticketing/get to the back of the park. Does Disney allow early entry for dining reservations? What happens if we are a little late?

    Hi Chloe,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to us! I am thrilled that you booked an early dining reservation for Tusker House Restaurant!

Although I cannot guarantee it because policies can change, you should be able to enter the park a few minutes early to get to your dining reservation. On prior trips, we had dining reservations prior to park opening and were able to enter the park early. On our last trip, we were able to enter Magic Kingdom 20 minutes prior to our dining reservation. It was lovely to enter the park before the crowds descended. We were able to get a few magical photos on our way to our dining reservation!

When you arrive, simply tell a cast member that you have an early dining reservation. The cast member will direct you from there.

If you are a little late to your dining reservation, do not worry. For various reasons, we have struggled to get to dining reservations on time (oh, the shame!). The cast members have always been gracious. As long as you are not more than 15 minutes late, you should be fine.

Be sure to take your autograph book and pen! Also, do not forget to download the My Disney Experience Mobile App. The app has a nifty feature that allows guests to search for directions and estimate transit time.

    Have a magical time!
