    We have reservations for Tony's in Magic Kingdom. We are not staying on property, therefore we do not have the dining package. Will we be able to pay for our meal through the MDE app or will we have to present a card or cash?

    Thank you for stopping by with your question about payments for your table service experience in Magic Kingdom. I will be happy to give you more information on these details so you are ready for your Magical day. 

    On your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort, your My Disney Experience app will be your best friend! Not only will you be able to see all of the details on the day for Theme Park activities, but you will also have the ability to check wait times, make a Genie+ purchase and Mobile Order food and drinks. It is super helpful in navigating your day in the parks. I am sorry to say that with table service meals, you are not able to make payments through the app. There is one way you will be able to make payments with your smartphone though. 

    Many locations throughout Walt Disney World do accept Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you have a credit card linked to your digital wallet, you should be able to pay using this form of payment. Just to be safe, you might want to make sure you have a second form of payment available for backup.

    While your day in the parks will be so much smoother using the My Disney Experience app, this is not where the benefits end. If you are driving to the parks, the app also has a Car Locator feature. Sometimes we are so excited about our day in the parks or just get worn out with a day full of fun, that we may forget the specifics with our car. Not to worry, this complimentary feature will allow you to plug in your information when you park, so after a long day of fun and excitement, the app will remind you where to locate your car. It is super convenient!
